Texas-based bookkeeping for Houston businesses

Houston's small businesses cover energy services and oilfield suppliers, port and logistics companies, contractors, medical practices around one of the world's largest medical centers, and one of the most varied restaurant scenes in the country.

We're based in Frisco, so we work with Houston clients remotely. That isn't a compromise: everything we do runs through QuickBooks Online, your bank feeds and secure document sharing, with a monthly call to walk through the numbers. You still get a Texas firm that understands Texas sales tax and the franchise tax — and the same two people every month.

One Source Bookkeeping is Kristina Weaver and John Morgan — both Intuit Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors, with more than 35 years between us. You work with one of us directly, every month, wherever in Texas you are.

Questions from Houston business owners

You're in Frisco. Can you really do our books from there?

Yes. Bookkeeping has been a remote profession for years. We work in your QuickBooks Online file, receive documents securely, and meet by video each month to walk through the statements.

How does remote bookkeeping actually work?

You give us access to QuickBooks and your bank feeds, and send documents through a secure shared folder. We reconcile and close each month, send your statements on a set schedule and walk through them with you on a short call. Most clients never need to print anything.

Can you help with the Texas franchise tax report?

We don't file it, but we make it easy. The franchise tax is calculated from your revenue and margin, so clean, reconciled books are what your CPA needs to file it correctly and on time each May.

How much does bookkeeping cost?

Every package is custom. We look at how many accounts need reconciling, how many transactions run through them each month and how complex the entity structure is, then quote one monthly number before you commit. The books review is free.
